Islamabad, Apr 4, 2025: Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) has unveiled updated gas supply schedules and load-shedding plans, effective after Ramadan 2025, to maintain steady gas pressure for its consumers.
This revised plan is aimed at helping users organize their cooking and daily routines with ease.
Currently, residents in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, and nearby regions are facing gas shortages.
SNGPL has indicated that post-Ramadan, gas will be available strictly during specific hours.
The new schedule will allow gas access during three designated periods: from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The team puts this strategy in place to ensure continuous supply at full pressure.
It will come into effect after the Eid ul Fitr celebrations.
The allocated timings are as follows: 6 AM to 9 AM for breakfast preparations and heating; 12 PM to 2 PM for lunch; and from 6 PM to 9 PM for dinner.
SNGPL officials confirmed that they implemented these changes following government instructions.
They reassured consumers that they would deliver gas at full pressure during the set hours in all areas.
Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited currently serves over 7.22 million customers across Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and various other parts of Pakistan.

Meanwhile, Mari Petroleum Company Limited (MPCL) announced a significant discovery of fresh oil and gas reserves from the Spinwam-1 Well in the Karghar Formation of North Waziristan.
As reported by the company’s spokesperson, the well is producing 20.48 MMCFD of gas and 117 barrels of oil per day.
This is the second successful find at the Spinwam-1 well.
The new discovery will ease the ongoing energy supply shortage and address the country’s demand-supply imbalance.
Previously, in July 2024, Mari Petroleum also uncovered new gas reserves from five wells in Sindh.
The gas from the Ghazij Gas Field is now being provided to Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).
