Islamabad, Nov 25: Spain Extends Job Seeker Visa Validity to One Year. As part of its attempts to meet labor market demands, Spain has announced plans to extend the validity of its job seeker visa for another year.
The job seeker visa’s existing three-month duration would be increased to a year under the amended Immigration Law. Although the precise date of implementation has not yet been disclosed, it is anticipated that the new regulations will greatly help Spain’s labor market and international job searchers.
Foreign nationals will have more time to look for work in Spain thanks to the one-year extension, which will also make the transfer to permanent residency easier. Those with a job seeker visa are permitted to travel to Spain in search of employment, and after landing a good job.
Novel Approaches to Regularization of Migrants:
As part of its Immigration Law reform, Spain intends to regularize some 300,000 unauthorized migrants yearly until 2027 in addition to the extended job seeker visa. Elma Saiz, the Spanish Minister of Migration, launched this proposal, which will award work and residency cards to around 900,000 migrants over the course of the next three years in an effort to alleviate labor shortages.”Through three pathways training, employment, and family this regulation opens doors that were previously closed,” Saiz said.
