Islamabad, July 3, 2025: Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh saw a dramatic shift as Sri Lanka 244 defeated Bangladesh 167 by 77 runs.

In just 15 minutes, Bangladesh’s batting collapsed dramatically, marking one of the most shocking meltdowns in ODI history, as Sri Lanka secured a 77-run win in the opening. ODI. Earlier, Sri Lanka posted 244 in 49.2 overs, with skipper Charith Asalanka anchoring the innings. He scored his fifth ODI century, second as captain. Bangladesh had bright spots too, with Taskin Ahmed returning from injury to take four wickets.

Tanzid Hasan and Najmul Hossain Shanto provided Bangladesh with a solid start, but a run-out triggered by Rathnayake shifted momentum. Hasaranga’s introduction changed the game further, as Litton Das and Tanzid both fell quickly.

Kamindu and Hasaranga continued dismantling the lineup, leaving Bangladesh in ruins. Despite a late fifty from Jaker Ali, Sri Lanka maintained control throughout this Sri Lanka vs Bangladesh clash.
