Islamabad, Feb 4: The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has officially announced that it will remain closed on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, in observance of Kashmir Day. This decision aligns with the public holiday schedule declared by the Government of Pakistan.
According to an official circular issued by the central bank on Tuesday, all financial operations under SBP will be suspended for the day. Consequently, commercial banks across the country will also observe the holiday and remain closed on this occasion.

Kashmir Day is a nationally recognized public holiday in Pakistan, observed every year on February 5 to express solidarity with the people of Kashmir. The Cabinet Division has included this date in its annual list of official holidays, ensuring that businesses, government offices, and financial institutions observe the closure.
Citizens and businesses are advised to plan their financial transactions, accordingly, considering the nationwide bank closure on this day. Regular banking services will resume on Thursday, February 6, 2025.
