Islamabad, Nov 12: Steam Deck OLED Unveils Exclusive New Limited Edition Color for Fans. Valve’s well-liked Steam Deck is set to receive a fresh design. Following the initial model’s release in 2021 and the OLED variant last year, both offered in black, Valve is now launching a limited-edition white Steam Deck OLED.
This white version of the Steam Deck OLED will be released globally on November 18th. It will feature 1 TB of storage and be priced at $679, which is a $30 increase compared to the standard 1TB OLED model.
The newly designed white model boasts a stylish white polycarbonate exterior with grey buttons and triggers, along with a striking orange power button. Additionally, Valve will provide a coordinating white carrying case and a white microfiber cleaning cloth.
Valve has indicated that the white Steam Deck OLED will be offered in limited quantities. The company will distribute the stock to various regions based on demand. To buy the device, you’ll need an active Steam account with at least one purchase completed before November 2024.
As a special edition release, Valve will limit purchases to one unit per account. Once the inventory runs out, there will be no further restocks. In related developments, the competing console Nintendo Switch plans to unveil a successor in 2025.
The Japanese gaming company has confirmed its intention to launch the new console in early 2025. In the meantime, Nintendo is focusing on remastering titles for the current Switch console.These remastered games will include both first-party and third-party titles, as reported, aimed at providing more gameplay for those who do not plan to upgrade immediately to Switch 2.
