According to documents released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the price of sugar in Sargodha increased by up to Rs. 23 per kilogram in one week, while in Karachi and Hyderabad, sugar prices rose by up to PKR 5 per kilogram.
The documents state that the maximum sugar price in the country reached Rs. 210 per kilogram, while in Karachi and Sargodha, sugar is being sold for up to Rs. 200 per kilogram.
In Islamabad and Rawalpindi, the maximum sugar price is also up to Rs. 200 per kilogram, and in Hyderabad, the price increased from Rs. 190 to Rs. 195 per kilogram.
According to the Bureau of Statistics, the average sugar price per kilogram in the country decreased slightly by 12 paisas over the past week, recording an average of Rs. 188.69 per kilogram.

Until last week, the country’s average sugar price was Rs. 188.81 per kilogram, while a year ago, the same price was Rs. 132.47 per kilogram.
