Deputy Commissioner Lahore, Syed Musa Raza, has issued an official notification announcing that 45 schools in the city have been converted into flood relief camps due to the ongoing flood situation.

According to the notification, Central Model School Reti Gun Road, Maraka, Manga, Chuhang, Shadab Colony, and Saggian government schools will remain closed. Similarly, government schools in Tar Garh Shahdara, Bund Road Shafiqabad, and Pari Mahal Shahdara will also stay shut.

In addition, no educational activities will resume in schools located in Niaz Baig, Shahpur Kanjran, Bund Road, Gaushala, Rangeel Pur, Khurd Pur, Chhagian Bhama, Mohlanwal, Multan Road, and Manwal.

Furthermore, private institutions including Qila Tarar, Mustafa Abad, Malik Park, Aziz Colony, Manga Hater, Jhagian Baja, Burts, Heaven, Star, and Children Paradise Schools will also remain closed until further notice.

This decision comes as part of precautionary measures to ensure public safety and provide immediate shelter to flood-affected families.
