Islamabad, Aug 7, 2025: The Punjab government has extended summer vacations for all public and private schools across the province until August 31, 2025. According to the latest notification by the School Education Department, classes will now resume on Monday, September 1.
This extension follows official approval and adds to the earlier summer break schedule announced in May. Schools will remain closed from August 14 to 31. Earlier, the schools in Punjab were meant to reopen on August 15.

The move comes amid ongoing heatwave conditions and gives students and teachers more time to rest before the academic term resumes.
Schools will return to regular weekly classes from September 1. Parents and staff are advised to stay updated through official channels.
