The School Education Department South Punjab has directed district education officials in Multan and Rahim Yar Khan to support a new survey aimed at expanding the School Khana Program. This program is being run by Allah Walay Trust which has already been providing daily meals to students in government schools in Lahore Faisalabad Islamabad and Gilgit Baltistan. The initiative aims to promote better health nutrition and learning outcomes for school children.

The decision to expand the program comes from the positive impact observed in schools where the meals were provided. Students showed better attendance improved focus in class and a healthier routine. The trust is currently serving more than one lakh meals each day and now plans to begin the program in Multan Sadiqabad and Rahim Yar Khan.

Survey of Primary Middle and High Schools

According to the notification the survey will cover primary middle and high schools. The purpose of this survey is to identify schools where children can benefit the most from the School Khana Program. It will also help in planning meal distribution logistics and ensuring that the food reaches students in a timely and proper manner.

District Education Authorities have been requested to fully cooperate with the survey teams. The survey will be conducted under department policy and guidelines to maintain transparency and quality.

Purpose of the School Khana Program

The School Khana Program is designed to support students who may not have access to nutritious meals at home. Many children come to school without breakfast which affects their learning energy and overall health. By providing meals during school hours the initiative hopes to ensure that children receive the nutrition they need to learn and grow.

Better nutrition leads to improved academic performance better attendance and stronger physical and mental development. This program also encourages families to send their children to school regularly.
