Islamabad, Mar 9 2025: Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) issued an apology on Sunday for implementing 133 MW of load management across various areas due to technical difficulties.
Assuring consumers that the issue would be resolved once frequency stabilization is achieved. An Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) spokesperson stated that power supply disruptions occurred in multiple regions due to a frequency dip, prompting temporary load management at 132 KV grid stations in Rawalpindi Cantt, Attock, and Jhelum circles.
The affected areas included New Rawat, Fateh Jang, Kahuta City (1, 2, and 3), Old Rawat, Kalar Syedan, Jand, Basal, Pindigheb, Sohawa, and Baragowah.
The spokesperson clarified that the power disruption resulted from a technical malfunction and reassured consumers that the system had returned to stability.
IESCO expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and reaffirmed its commitment to providing uninterrupted electricity supply to its valued customers.
