Tesla has been a sensation in electric vehicles for its affordable and long-range solutions. Recently, the American manufacturer has launched a new trim of its most running model Y in selected European countries. Tesla Inc. took it to the social media app ‘X’ (formerly known as Twitter) as; “Introducing Model Y LR RWD, maximum range that allows you to commute all week without charging – at an even more accessible price.”

This new trim level will come with a WLTP range of 600km (372 miles) and a top speed of 217km/h; it will be equipped with 19-inch Gemini Wheels and will have the lowest cost per kilometer in the electric SUV market, i.e., 14.9 kWh/100km.
In comparison, the Model Y base variant comes with a range of 455km (282 miles), and the Model Y long-range dual motor AWD variant comes with a range of 533km (331 miles). Its acceleration time from 0 to 60mph is 5.9 seconds, which is faster than the cheapest RWD model.
Price and Availability
This long-range Model Y RWD will be available at a price tag of $52,500, categorizing it as the second most affordable trim of the variant where the most affordable Model Y still remains the base RWD trim level with a price tag of $48,200.
It will be available in select European countries only, including Austria, Czechia, Denmark, Finland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, Italy, Greece, Poland, Slovenia, Romania, and Hungary. However, as of current news, it will not be available in the UK and Netherlands.
