Islamabad, June 14, 2025: In a heart-pounding finish of Texas Super Kings Vs Mi New York match at the Oakland Coliseum, Daryl Mitchell turned savior for the Texas Super Kings, directing his side to a nail-biting three-run win over MI New York in their second Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025 clash on Friday.
Tasked with defending just nine runs in the final over with only two wickets standing, Mitchell kept his composure under pressure. Flawlessly blending toe-crushing yorkers with deceptive slower balls, he just give five runs to close out a sensational win for Texas.
Put in to bat, the Super Kings posted a solid 185-6, thanks to 65 from Devon Conway, who held the innings together. With support collapsing around him, Conway forged a match-defining 79-run partnership with Calvin Savage, who provided strong late-innings with an unbeaten 53 off 34 balls.

MI New York’s chase stumbled early as Adam Milne rattled the top order, removing both openers inside the power play. Nicholas Pooran’s early dismissal compounded the woes. But Monank Patel and Michael Bracewell fought back valiantly, sharing a blistering 97-run stand.

In Texas Super Kings Vs Mi New York match Patel played a commanding knock of 62, but just as the target seemed within grasp, Mitchell turned the tide. He ran out Pollard and Patel in dramatic fashion, swinging momentum back to Texas.
Milne ended with 3-22, while Mitchell’s death-bowling brilliance in the final over sealed the deal. MI New York, despite late resistance, finished at 182-8.
