Islamabad, Feb 10: The Sindh government has introduced the Thar Desert Train Safari, a unique initiative designed to boost tourism and showcase the cultural heritage of the region.

This scenic train journey runs from Karachi to Chhore, near Pakistan’s border with India, passing through Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas. Travelers will experience Sindh’s vibrant traditions and breathtaking desert landscapes throughout the trip.

Upon arrival at Chhor (Parchi Jeveri), visitors can enjoy mesmerizing sunset views, a lively bonfire, traditional music, and a sumptuous dinner. Accommodation options include staying overnight onboard the train, camping under the open sky, or lodging at resorts in Parchi Jever.
Ticket Prices and Facilities
According to the Sindh Tourism Development Corporation, ticket prices start at Rs30,000 per adult. The fare includes entertainment activities such as camping, cultural performances, and a taste of Sindh’s authentic cuisine. Railways authorities have ensured a comfortable and immersive experience for travelers.
