ISLAMABAD, AUGUST 13: Tiktok introduced group chat feature and stickers for DMs. Users will be able to organize group conversations on the site with up to 32 people, despite it not being universally available.
TikTok introduced group chat feature which lets users have real-time discussions, share videos, and comment on them up to 32 members
Through their inbox, users can start group chats by tapping the Chat icon or by choosing a contact from the list of messages and then clicking the “More options…” button. Before the group chat begins, users can be added from there.
As an alternative, users can start group chats by sharing posts with multiple friends. After clicking the Share button, the “Create group chat” option lets users select recipients and add a message before the conversation begins. Users can accept group chat invitations through the inbox, but they can only invite mutual followers to join existing group chats.
Users between the ages of 13 and 15 cannot join group chats. Users between the ages of 16 and 17 can only participate in group chats if they have at least one mutual friend. These users also have to manually approve new members joining their created group sessions.
Furthermore, TikTok is also updating individual direct messages, or DMs. Soon, you’ll be able to make and distribute your own stickers, just like you do with other messaging apps like Telegram and WhatsApp.
