TikTok has rolled out updated Family Pairing tools in Pakistan to help parents guide their teens’ digital habits in a safer and more responsible way. With these features, parents can connect their TikTok account to their child’s and manage settings that encourage healthy usage and secure online interactions.
Parents can now review privacy settings, get alerts when public videos are posted, and decide who can interact with their teen’s account. These updates are designed to start meaningful conversations at home about online behaviour, screen time balance, and content suitability rather than just limiting usage.
The Family Pairing dashboard allows parents to:
- Set daily screen time limits and schedule break reminders
- Manage who can send messages or comment on posts
- Control account visibility and video download permissions
By default, direct messaging is turned off for users under 16, and notifications are paused during nighttime hours to support healthier sleep routines. Teens under 18 also receive a default 60-minute daily screen-time limit, with content filtering based on age-appropriate guidelines.
TikTok has also added features like Guided Meditation Mode, which helps users unwind at night with calming exercises. For teens, it activates automatically after 10 PM, promoting better digital well-being.
