Islamabad – 09 May, 2025:Tottenham Hotspur have booked their place in the Europa League final, easing past Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt with a 2-0 win in the second leg to complete a 5-1 victory on aggregate.
The result means Spurs will face Manchester United in an all-English final in Bilbao on 21 May, as they continue their quest for a first European title in over four decades.
Ange Postecoglou’s side, already holding a two-goal cushion from the first leg, approached the match in Norway with discipline and control.
Goals from Dominic Solanke and Pedro Porro after the break confirmed Spurs’ sixth European final appearance — and their first since losing the Champions League final in 2019.

Despite being without key players like James Maddison, Lucas Bergvall and captain Heung-min Son, Tottenham remained composed throughout.
Their hosts, playing in a European semi-final for the first time, were full of energy but lacked a cutting edge in attack.
Bodo/Glimt, who had stunned Lazio and Porto earlier in the tournament, needed a fast start. But a crucial early save from Guglielmo Vicario, denying Patrick Berg’s curling free kick, kept the home side at bay.
The game opened up in the second half, and Spurs took full advantage. Solanke found the net after 63 minutes, converting from close range after Cristian Romero headed the ball into his path.

Soon after, Porro’s cross from the right looped over everyone and clipped the inside of the post to double the lead on the night.
The Norwegian side briefly thought they had a late lifeline through a penalty, but it was overturned following a VAR review, capping a frustrating night for the hosts.
With this win, Tottenham are now one step away from ending their long wait for silverware — their last major European triumph coming in 1984.
Despite domestic struggles this season, the London club could crown their campaign with a historic European title.
