Islamabad, June 22, 2025:U.S. President Donald Trump has reignited controversy by claiming he deserves the Nobel Peace Prize for his behind-the-scenes efforts in resolving international conflicts, especially between India and Pakistan.
Speaking in New Jersey, Trump emphasized that his foreign policy played a key role in easing hostilities between the two nuclear-armed neighbors.
“If you look at Rwanda, Congo, Serbia, Kosovo—yes—but India and Pakistan was a big one,” Trump said. “I should have received the Nobel four or five times already. The Abraham Accords alone should have guaranteed it.”
His remarks come as global tensions rise, particularly in the Middle East. Trump stated, “We did a very great job with India and Pakistan. We were close to a breakthrough, and I still believe a lasting deal is possible.”
Trump Comments on China-Iran Rumors Amid Israel-Iran Conflict
Addressing recent speculation about Chinese cargo planes flying into Iran amid the Israel-Iran war, Trump said he was aware of the reports but could not verify them. “They say the planes are there to take people out. I don’t know,” he said cautiously.
Social media has been buzzing with claims of covert Chinese support for Iran. According to a pro-Iranian X account, SilencedSirs, two large cargo planes from China allegedly turned off tracking systems before entering Iranian airspace—a move viewed as suspicious. A viral video and a Flightradar24 screenshot have fueled further online speculation.

Strong Ties with President Xi Jinping
Despite the sensitive timing, Trump spoke warmly about his relationship with Chinese President Xi Jinping. “I get along very well with China. President Xi and I respect each other. I don’t believe they would get involved in any conflict that destabilizes the region.”
Trump’s renewed calls for the Nobel Peace Prize, especially citing his India-Pakistan diplomacy, are likely to stir political debate globally. Meanwhile, the growing speculation around China’s role in the Middle East raises fresh geopolitical questions, with Trump staying diplomatically vague on the issue.
