Islamabad, Mar 12 2025: In a heartfelt display of solidarity and humanitarian aid, Ambassador of Turkiye to Pakistan, Irfan Neziroglu, alongside Managing Director of Pakistan Bait-ul-Mal (PBM). Türkiye PBM Distribute Ramazan Food Aid to 1,500 Families in Pakistan
Senator Captain (R) Shaheen Khalid Butt, Türkiye PBM distribute Ramazan Food Assistance Packages to 1,500 deserving families at a special event in Islamabad.
This initiative was made possible through the support of the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), whose Country Head, Ms. Saliha Tuna, was also in attendance.
The food packages, carefully curated to sustain families throughout the sacred month of Ramzan, contained essential items such as wheat flour, rice, lentils, chickpeas, cooking oil, sugar, tea, and dates.
Expressing his gratitude for the opportunity to assist those in need, Ambassador Neziroglu reaffirmed the strong and historic friendship between Pakistan and Turkiye. He emphasized TIKA’s ongoing commitment to social welfare in Pakistan.
Highlighting that the organization has successfully implemented over 100 development projects in the country for more than 15 years.

He also recalled Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s solidarity visit to Turkiye following last year’s catastrophic earthquake, underscoring the deep-rooted support between the two nations in times of crisis.
PBM Managing Director, Senator Captain (R) Shaheen Khalid Butt, expressed sincere appreciation to the Turkish government and TIKA for their generous contribution, acknowledging their vital role in social protection and poverty alleviation.
He reiterated that Pakistan and Turkiye share a strong and enduring relationship, founded on mutual values and unwavering support.
During the event, the Turkish Ambassador and PBM officials toured PBM’s Women Empowerment Centres (WECs), where they admired the intricate handmade embroidery produced by women artisans.
Ambassador Neziroglu pledged to promote these handcrafted products within the Turkish community, fostering greater collaboration in vocational training and skill development for Pakistani women.
The ongoing partnership between PBM and TIKA continues to uplift underprivileged communities across Pakistan, further strengthening the historic and growing bond between these two brotherly nations.
