Islamabad, 15 April 2025: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is undergoing a major reshuffle after the departure of two key officials in quick succession.
Director High Performance Nadeem Khan has officially departed after serving his notice, becoming the second senior official to exit after Samiul Hassan’s resignation.
Both positions have now been removed from the official website, according to sources familiar with the matter, suggesting a potential overhaul in the board’s senior management structure.
Nadeem Khan, a former first-class cricketer and elder brother of ex-Pakistan captain Moin Khan, had played a significant role in managing the High Performance Centre.

He was credited with helping shape domestic cricket frameworks and coaching programmes over the past few years.
Sources indicate that Nadeem is likely to take up a senior position with the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise Multan Sultans.
The PCB has yet to issue any official statements explaining the sudden exits.
However, the back-to-back resignations have raised eyebrows within cricketing circles, leading to speculation over the board’s internal stability and its capacity to retain experienced professionals.
Insiders have also suggested that former pacer and 1992 World Cup winner Aqib Javed is being considered for the now-vacant High Performance Director role.

Aqib, currently the head coach of Lahore Qalandars, has earned widespread acclaim for mentoring emerging talent through the franchise’s development programmes.
The leadership changes come at a time when the PCB is under growing scrutiny for its structural and strategic direction.
While some previous appointments to senior roles have been non-cricketers, recent developments may push the board towards favouring individuals with international playing experience.
The latest reshuffle underlines the shifting dynamics within the PCB, as the organisation seeks to realign itself in preparation for upcoming domestic and international challenges.
