ISLAMABAD – June 22, 2025: The U.S. State Department has issued official security alerts for American citizens in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Lebanon, Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, advising increased caution amid heightened regional tensions. These warnings follow recent U.S. military actions targeting Iranian nuclear facilities, which have raised security concerns across the Middle East.

In the UAE, the U.S. Embassy in Abu Dhabi and Dubai released an alert on June 12, 2025, warning of potential missile or drone threats due to regional conflict. U.S. citizens are advised to stay vigilant, avoid strategic infrastructure, and enroll in the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP).

The Saudi Arabia alert, also issued on June 12, warns of similar threats. The U.S. Mission advises citizens to be prepared for emergencies, stay indoors during alerts, and maintain situational awareness, particularly near sensitive areas like oil facilities or military zones.

In Lebanon, the U.S. Embassy in Beirut issued an alert on June 16, warning of flight disruptions and possible escalation. While commercial flights remain available, the embassy cautions that services may be interrupted with little notice. Citizens are urged to review evacuation plans and remain ready to depart.

The advisory for Turkey, first issued in May 2024, remains in effect. The U.S. Embassy in Ankara highlights ongoing risks of terror attacks and violent protests, especially near Western-linked locations or during public events. American citizens are urged to avoid large gatherings and high-risk areas.

These alerts reflect a coordinated effort to protect U.S. nationals amid increasing instability in the region. All travelers are advised to follow embassy updates and take appropriate precautions.
