Islamabad, 12 May, 2025: UAE Grants Residency Fine waivers to Sudanese citizens as part of a broader humanitarian gesture, the country’s immigration authorities confirmed over the weekend.
The decision is aimed at easing the burden on individuals affected by ongoing instability in Sudan.
The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security stated that the relief initiative reflects the UAE’s continuing commitment to extending support to nations facing hardship.
The measure has been introduced as part of the country’s wider humanitarian policies, which have consistently prioritised assistance to those impacted by regional conflict.
According to officials, the exemption will come into effect from May 19, 2025, and remain active until the end of the calendar year.
