Islamabad, July 8, 2025: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has confirmed that Pakistan is actively working to resolve visa issues with the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Kuwait, and Oman, amid rising rejections of Pakistani visa applications—especially for the UAE.

Speaking to the media, Naqvi said talks with the UAE’s Interior Minister are scheduled soon. He assured that diplomatic efforts are underway to ensure smoother travel for Pakistanis. “We are committed to removing obstacles affecting our citizens abroad,” he stated.

Naqvi also emphasized improving the Pakistani passport ranking, citing ongoing initiatives to boost its global image and ensure greater mobility for citizens.

On the domestic front, the minister linked Karachi’s security to national stability. He announced the launch of the Safe City project in Karachi, which will deploy smart surveillance to curb crime. “A secure Karachi means a secure Pakistan,” he said.
