Islamabad, Nov 30: Lahore district officials confiscated hundreds of banners promoting the University of Engineering and Technology (UET)’s Spring 2025 admissions.
The banners were seized near a printing press in Royal Park as UET staff loaded them onto a rickshaw.
The operation, led by District Zonal Officer Riaz Gujjar, also resulted in the detention of the printing press owner, Usman. The confiscated materials were moved to a municipal storehouse.
UET Registrar Muhammad Asif filed a complaint, condemning the action as unlawful interference in the university’s outreach.
UET has demanded the immediate return of the banners and Usman’s release, but the district administration has yet to issue a response
