Islamabad, Aug 8, 2025: The prestigious Chevening Scholarship programme, funded by the UK Government, is now open for applications for the 2026 academic session. This fully funded opportunity allows international students, including Pakistanis, to pursue any one-year Master’s degree at any recognised UK university — without worrying about tuition fees, visa expenses, airfare, or accommodation.
Offered by the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Chevening is one of the most competitive and high-profile scholarships globally, attracting future leaders, decision-makers, and influencers from over 160 countries.
What Does the Chevening Scholarship Cover?
Selected scholars will receive:
- Full tuition fee coverage for any eligible Master’s course
- Monthly living stipend (adjusted higher for London-based students)
- Return economy-class airfare to the UK
- Visa application fee reimbursement
- Travel top-up for Chevening-organised events across the UK
No IELTS is required if you can provide proof of prior education in English or a proficiency letter from your university.
Who Can Apply?
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be a citizen of an eligible Chevening country (including Pakistan)
- Hold at least a Bachelor’s degree equivalent to a UK 2:1 (upper second-class honours)
- Have a minimum of two years’ work experience (full-time, part-time, voluntary, or internships count)
- Secure an unconditional offer from a UK university by the deadline
Applicants with a previous Master’s degree may still apply, provided they can demonstrate how another postgrad qualification aligns with their career vision.
