Islamabad, 9 May, 2025: Umrah Pilgrimage preparations for the upcoming season are officially underway, as the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has released the detailed schedule for international visitors planning to perform the minor pilgrimage in the Islamic year 1447.

According to the ministry’s published calendar, the arrival of foreign pilgrims is set to begin on the 15th of Dhul Hijjah 1446, which falls on June 11, 2025.

Visa issuance will open a day earlier, on June 10. This timetable, crafted to streamline international coordination, outlines critical deadlines related to visa processing, contract approvals with licensed travel agents, and logistical cut-off points for both entry and departure.

As part of its strategy to modernise pilgrimage services, the ministry launched its external agent registration on March 25 through the digital platforms “Nusuk” and “Umrah Path.”

Following that, formal agreements between Saudi Umrah operators and overseas agencies began on April 14, during the 2025 Hajj and Umrah Services Forum.

Service contracts with external agents must be finalised by May 27, 2025 (29 Dhul Qadah), to allow for the efficient organisation of the Umrah Pilgrimage season.

The final date to issue Umrah visas is set for March 20, 2026 (1 Shawwal 1447), while pilgrims must enter the Kingdom no later than April 3, 2026 (15 Shawwal). The absolute deadline for departure is April 18, 2026 (1 Dhul Qadah).

Moreover, the ministry confirmed that applications for agent qualification will be accepted until January 20, 2026 (1 Sha’ban 1447).

This ensures that only approved and experienced service providers manage the spiritual journey of millions of Muslims visiting the Kingdom.

Authorities noted that the well-defined timeline reflects their continued commitment to improving pilgrim services and maintaining order and safety throughout the religious season.

The comprehensive schedule is part of broader efforts to digitally transform pilgrimage administration and strengthen cooperation with international partners.

The Umrah Pilgrimage remains a vital religious event that draws Muslims from every corner of the world, and Saudi officials are aiming to make the 2025 season the most efficient and secure yet.
