The University of Karachi has announced that it will introduce a four-year Aviation Technology and Management degree at Karachi University starting from the 2026 academic session. The program will be offered under the Institute of Space Science and Technology, marking a major step forward in aviation education in Pakistan. Admission details will be shared alongside the university’s updated entry policy.

According to officials, the Academic Council, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Khalid Iraqi, is meeting today to finalize the admission framework for 2026. To streamline the process, the Admissions Committee has decided to release intermediate results earlier, allowing applications to begin by late September.

Entry tests are expected to take place in October, a full month ahead of last year’s schedule, when admissions were announced in late October and assessments were held in November.

Professor Dr. Javed Iqbal, Chairman of the Institute of Space Science, explained that the program had already received Academic Council approval last year, but students could not be enrolled due to pending formalities.

He confirmed that admissions will be split evenly between morning and evening shifts, and applicants will be selected based on entrance test performance. Students with a pre-engineering background will be eligible to apply.
