The University of Tokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2026 is inviting applications from talented undergraduate students worldwide for a fully funded summer research experience in Japan.

About the Program
The Amgen Scholars Program is an international initiative designed to inspire and train the next generation of researchers. At the University of Tokyo, participants will spend eight weeks gaining practical research experience under the supervision of top professors. Students will be placed in one of the five participating graduate schools at the University of Tokyo:

Scholarship Benefits
The University of Tokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2026 is fully funded, covering all major expenses:
- Accommodation: Free housing for the duration of the program.
- Stipend: 270,000 JPY for personal and living expenses.
- Travel: Round-trip economy airfare or train tickets (for domestic participants).
This support allows students to focus entirely on research, networking, and cultural exchange without worrying about financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the University of Tokyo Amgen Scholars Program 2026, applicants must:
- Be enrolled in an undergraduate program and have completed at least one year of study.
- Not be graduating before the program begins.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Demonstrate English proficiency (minimum TOEFL iBT 72).

Applications must be submitted through The Admissions Office (TAO) online portal. Once submitted, changes cannot be made.
