Islamabad, 22 April 2025: Karachi Kings clinched a two-wicket win over Peshawar Zalmi, powered by Khushdil Shah’s all-round heroics in a tense PSL 10 clash.
Set a target of 148 on a slow pitch, Karachi chased it down with three balls to spare. Hasan Ali struck the winning boundary off Hussain Talat to seal a tense finish.
Karachi’s innings began on a poor note, as Tim Seifert was dismissed for a golden duck on the first ball by Luke Wood.
The English pacer struck again soon, removing James Vince for 11. Captain David Warner anchored the innings, forging key partnerships despite wickets falling around him.

Warner’s 60 off 47 balls, including eight boundaries, kept Karachi in the contest. However, when he was bowled by Wood in the 17th over, the side still needed 29 runs from 21 deliveries.
Quick wickets followed, leaving them 133/8, but Khushdil held his nerve and guided them home with a composed 23* off 17 balls.
Earlier, Zalmi had posted 147/8 after being sent in to bat. Babar Azam led from the front with a fluent 46 off 41 balls, hitting seven fours.
He shared brief partnerships with Tom Kohler-Cadmore and Mohammad Haris, but no batter could capitalise after his dismissal.

Haris added 28 runs off 21 balls, while Hussain Talat contributed 18. Zalmi collapsed in the final overs, slipping from 124/4 to 136/8.
Khushdil was equally effective with the ball, picking up three wickets for 21 runs. Abbas Afridi matched that tally, while Aamir Jamal and Mir Hamza took one each.
The win lifted Karachi to second in the points table with six points from five matches. Peshawar, with just one win from four games, remained fourth.
