Islamabad, 23 April 2025: Multan Sultans recorded a commanding 33-run win over Lahore Qalandars in the 12th fixture of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 10 at the Multan Cricket Stadium on Tuesday.
However, the result was not enough to lift them from the bottom of the points table.
The home side piled up an imposing total of 228 for 5 after being put into bat, thanks to an explosive innings from opener Yasir Khan and a fiery finish by Iftikhar Ahmed.
Yasir played a pivotal role, smashing 87 runs off just 44 balls, peppered with six boundaries and as many sixes.

His innings laid a strong foundation which Iftikhar built on, adding an unbeaten 40 off 18 deliveries, laced with three sixes and three fours.
Lahore, in reply, struggled to keep pace with the steep target despite a spirited knock by Sikandar Raza, who managed to score a fighting half-century. However, the visitors could only reach 195 for 9 by the end of their 20 overs.
The Sultans’ bowlers ensured their team stayed in control throughout the second innings.
Young pacer Ubaid Shah emerged as the pick of the bowlers, taking 3 for 37 in his four-over spell.
He received good support from Michael Bracewell and Usama Mir, who claimed two wickets each. David Willey and Josh Little also made key breakthroughs with one wicket apiece.

Despite the emphatic victory, Multan’s slow start to the season means they still sit at the bottom of the standings.
Their net run rate of -1.790 keeps them below Peshawar Zalmi and Quetta Gladiators, who also have two points each.
