Islamabad – May 2, 2025: Peshawar Zalmi bounced back in PSL 10 with a dominant six-wicket win over Islamabad United, handing them their second loss.
Chasing a modest target of 144, Zalmi’s innings got off to a dramatic start. Mitchell Owen struck a six off the first ball but was dismissed by Kyle Mayers on the next delivery.
Ben Dwarshuis then removed Saim Ayub early, leaving Zalmi reeling at 12-2 in the second over.
Babar and Haris added 26 runs before Haris fell to Meredith for 13. From there, debutant Maaz Sadaqat joined Babar at the crease and shifted the momentum.

The pair built a crucial 50-run partnership, guiding Zalmi to 93-3 by the end of the 12th over.
Maaz impressed in his maiden PSL appearance with a fluent 55 off 33 balls, while Babar anchored the chase with a steady 53 not out.
Naseem Shah broke their 100-run stand late in the game, but Max Bryant finished off the chase in the 17th over with a boundary.
Earlier, Islamabad United opted to bat and started strong with Sahibzada Farhan and Mayers adding 50 for the first wicket.
But the innings unraveled quickly after both were dismissed in back-to-back overs. Ahmed Daniyal removed Farhan for 36, and Mohammad Ali sent Mayers back for 18.
The middle order collapsed under Zalmi’s pressure, with Azam Khan, Imad Wasim, and others falling cheaply.
