Islamabad, May 8, 2025: Quetta Gladiators delivered a commanding performance to beat defending champions Islamabad United by 109 runs in PSL 10 in Rawalpindi.
Asked to bat first, Quetta set a new PSL benchmark by posting the league’s highest-ever total — 263 for 3 in their 20 overs.
The batting fireworks were led by South Africa’s Rilee Rossouw and Pakistan’s Hasan Nawaz, both of whom struck rapid centuries and rewrote the tournament’s record books.
Rossouw scored 104 runs from just 46 balls, including six sixes and 14 fours, while Nawaz remained unbeaten on 100 off 45 deliveries, hitting nine sixes and four boundaries.

Their partnership powered the Gladiators to a mammoth total that proved far beyond United’s reach.
In response, Islamabad struggled to build momentum and were dismissed for 154 in 19.3 overs. The defeat marked their fourth loss in a row.
Imad Wasim stood out for the home side with a fighting 56 off 41 balls, but lacked support from the rest of the batting lineup.
Quetta’s bowling attack maintained pressure throughout the innings. Mohammad Amir was particularly effective, conceding just six runs and taking three wickets in his two overs.
Abrar Ahmed and Mohammad Wasim Jr claimed two wickets each, while Saud Shakeel, Faheem Ashraf, and Khurram Shahzad chipped in with one apiece.
