Islamabad – May 2, 2025: The 21st match of PSL Season 10 between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators was abandoned due to adverse weather conditions.
Lahore, having been asked to bat first at home, reached 111 for 3 in 11.3 overs before a sudden dust storm brought the proceedings to a standstill. The interruption was later followed by light rain, making any further play impossible.
The Qalandars suffered an early blow when Khurram Shahzad bowled Fakhar Zaman for a duck in the opening over.

However, Mohammad Naeem and Abdullah Shafique steadied the innings with an impressive second-wicket partnership. The pair added 102 runs in under ten overs, frustrating the Gladiators’ bowling attack.
Naeem’s aggressive knock came to an end in the 10th over when Abrar Ahmed dismissed him for a well-crafted 50 off 30 balls, which included three boundaries and four maximums. The spinner struck again soon after, removing Daryl Mitchell cheaply, leaving the Qalandars at 111/3.
Shafique remained unbeaten on 53 from 32 deliveries, featuring three fours and three sixes, when the weather intervened. As strong winds swept through the stadium, players were forced off the field and spectators sought shelter. Persistent rain later confirmed the match’s fate, leading to its official abandonment.
