Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has announced that parks and recreational spots across the province are being upgraded to provide safer and better facilities for women and children.

Speaking on World Recreation Day, she said that recreational activities play a vital role in reducing stress and improving both mental and physical health.

Maryam Nawaz stated that this day is a reminder to lead a healthy, joyful life and to engage in activities that bring peace and creativity. She encouraged citizens to spend quality time with family and friends through outdoor and leisure pursuits.

The Chief Minister added that parks in Punjab are being upgraded with improved facilities, especially for women and children, so they can enjoy recreational spaces in a secure and welcoming environment. She highlighted that travel and tourism also help enhance creativity and productivity among people.

In a major development, Maryam Nawaz revealed that a glass train will soon be launched in Murree for tourists, offering a unique sightseeing experience. She also mentioned that the bullet train project from Lahore to Islamabad will play a key role in promoting tourism and recreation in the province.

To ensure safety, all major parks across Punjab are now under CCTV monitoring, creating a safe and pleasant space for families.
