Islamabad, Sep 20: The U.S. Consulate General recently celebrated the launch of the English Access Scholarship Program for 2024 in Karachi, aimed at providing English language classes to 200 students.
This initiative focuses on equipping participants with essential skills for success in a globalized world.

Program Details:
- Duration: This two-year program, sponsored by the Regional English Language Office at the U.S. Mission in Pakistan will offer both afterschool and intensive English classes.
- Target Audience: Aimed at academically gifted yet economically disadvantaged students aged 13 to 20.
- Goals:
- Enhance understanding of U.S. culture and democratic values.
- Equip students to contribute to Pakistan’s socio-economic development.
- Improve chances for participation in future U.S. exchange and academic programs.
Since its inception in 2004, the English Access Program has benefited around 8,000 students across Sindh and Balochistan, empowering young individuals with the skills necessary to thrive in an interconnected world. This initiative underscores the U.S. government’s commitment to supporting educational programs in Pakistan.
