Islamabad, June 17, 2025: The US has moved 30 Military Jets from its bases in America to Europe over the last three days. This move comes as tensions grow between Iran and Israel.
According to BBC Verify, the planes are tanker aircraft that refuel fighter jets and bombers. Some tankers stopped in Spain, Scotland, and England before flying east.
Experts say these movements are unusual and may be part of contingency plans to prepare for possible combat operations in the Middle East.
The situation started after Israel launched an airstrike on Iran’s nuclear program on Friday. This was shortly after a deadline set by former U.S. President Donald Trump for Iran to make a nuclear deal.
The U.S. has also moved the USS Nimitz aircraft carrier toward the Middle East. A planned stop in Vietnam was cancelled, and the ship is now heading west through Singapore. The carrier includes fighter jets and missile destroyers.

In addition, the U.S. has deployed F-16, F-22, and F-35 fighter jets to bases in the Middle East. These jets can be refueled by the tanker aircraft now stationed in Europe.
Experts also believe the U.S. may use B-2 stealth bombers and Massive Ordnance Penetrator bombs if it decides to strike Iran’s underground nuclear sites like Natanz and Fordo.
Satellite images showed B-2 bombers at Diego Garcia in March, but they now seem to be gone. Experts are unsure where they went, but say they could launch from the U.S. directly if needed.
The situation remains tense, with military movements suggesting possible preparations for further escalation.
