Islamabad, JULY 31: Sardar Kamal, an actor for stage, television, and film, died on Tuesday. He was brought to the Punjab Institute of Cardiology after suffering a heart attack, but he did not have a chance of survival. He would be buried in Faisalabad, the place of his birth.
Sardar Kamal, also known as Muhammad Sardar, was born in Faisalabad. He never received any formal schooling above the elementary school level. Before turning to stand-up comedy, he had a job in a textile mill.
He began his acting career in theater. He performed in Urdu films such as Diwane Tere Pyar Kay in addition to Punjabi films such as Majajan, Channa Sachi Muchi, and Choorian. He has also contributed to Pakistan-Indian co-productions. Among his well-known theatrical productions was Janam Janam Ki Maili Chadar.
Yasir Hussain, the actor, expressed his condolences on his official Instagram account.”We shouldn’t cry when someone who makes us laugh dies away. We will still have your work. Love you, sir,” wrote Hussain.
