During the seven months of the current calendar year (7MFY25), VGO Tel emerged as the top locally assembled brand, assembling/manufacturing 2.12 million units during the period.
According to a report by brokerage house Topline Securities, Infinix was second on the list with 2.01 million units, while Itel came third with 1.53 million units.,
Other in the top list include Vivo (1.38 million units), Xiaomi (1.04 million units), Samsung (0.93 million units), Tecno (0.89 million units), Q Mobile (0.72 million units), G’Five (0.7 million units), and Nokia (0.65 million units).

Topline said that it expects mobile phone sales to grow by 7-8% YoY over the next 12 months, as base effects have now normalized and overall inflation remains on the lower side.
In addition, brands such as Samsung and Xiaomi typically launch new smartphone models around September every year, which is likely to further support demand in the coming months, it added.
