The Theme Park View Housing Society Lahore has been declared an illegal and unapproved project by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Lahore. The Theme Park Housing Society Lahore has recently been in the spotlight after it had been badly hit by flooding, leaving many residents struggling to return to normal life.
According to ACE officials, the housing scheme owner Haji Khushi Muhammad has been taken into custody on charges of fraud and misrepresentation.
The owner developed around 12,000 kanals of land inside the river area, divided it into residential plots, and sold them to citizens without legal approval. “The project had no proper sewage system or basic infrastructure, and when the Ravi overflowed, every house built there was washed away,” an ACE spokesperson said on Wednesday.
The ACE has assured the public that steps will be taken to recover the money invested in the fake housing scheme and to compensate those who suffered losses.
