Wifaqul Madaris, in a meeting led by Mufti Taqi Usmani, has prohibited online classes in madrasas while enforcing stricter rules for Islamic schools
In a significant decision, Wifaqul Madaris has banned online education in seminaries under its supervision and announced that students who shave their beards will not be allowed to sit for examinations.
The decision was taken during a high-level meeting chaired by Mufti Taqi Usmani. According to the ruling, any seminary that submits examination forms of students who shave their beards will be asked for an explanation. If the justification is deemed unsatisfactory, the seminary’s affiliation with Wifaqul Madaris may be suspended.
The body also imposed a ban on recording and sharing videos or photographs of official gatherings, stressing that its representatives must avoid such practices. Scholars further reiterated their stance against armed movements, underlining that the implementation of Shariah can only be pursued through peaceful means.
