Islamabad, April 2, 2025: A social media mix-up saw Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi face Backlash after Virat Kohli dismissed IPL 2025.
The misunderstanding arose after Gujarat Titans’ fast bowler, Arshad Khan, took Kohli, prompting furious fans to mistakenly target Warsi’s Instagram account.
Kohli, playing in Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s first home game of the season, struggled to make an impact, scoring only seven runs off six deliveries.
His brief stay at the crease ended when Arshad bowled a short delivery that cramped him for space, leading to a catch at deep backward square.

As emotions ran high, some fans, apparently confused by the similarity in names, flooded Warsi’s social media with angry comments.
Many questioned Kohli’s dismissal, with one user issuing a veiled threat, while others humorously linked it to Warsi’s “Circuit” from Munna Bhai MBBS.
This is not the first time Kohli’s fans have reacted in such a manner.

The chase of 170 was guided by Jos Buttler’s explosive unbeaten 73 off 39 balls, following a strong start by Sai Sudharsan, who contributed 49 runs.
Earlier in the match, RCB struggled to build momentum despite Liam Livingstone’s determined 54.
Mohammed Siraj’s three-wicket haul briefly gave RCB hope, but Buttler’s powerful hitting ensured Gujarat reached the target with 13 balls to spare.
He finished the game in style, supported by impact player Sherfane Rutherford, who remained unbeaten on 30.
The loss marks a disappointing start for RCB at home, while Gujarat Titans will look to build on their dominant performance.
