Islamabad, Nov 1: The veteran star pacer and the former captain of Pakistan men’s cricket team Wasim Akram who warned that while it could be the Men in Blue’s arrival to Pakistan to play during the ICC Champions Trophy good signals are being received from India.
The ex-bowler, fondly nicknamed the Sultan of Swing, revealed that PCB has repeatedly offered invitations to BCCI in hopes of bringing their team across the border for participation in the global event.
“India should come to Pakistan,” said Akram, speaking during an online press conference held in Melbourne on Wednesday.
Furthermore, he informed that many young Pakistani girls and boys, including fans of players such as Virat Kohli, Hardik Pandya, and Suryakumar Yadav, are anxiously waiting for Indian cricketers.
He said that people of two countries should maintain contact with each other and that India should consider it as he has not visited the other side of border in the past six or seven years.
