Islamabad, 24 April 2025: Multan Sultans’ captain, Mohammad Rizwan, was visibly upset with his performance following his dismissal in the team’s Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10 match against Islamabad United on Wednesday.
Rizwan, who opened the innings alongside Yasir Khan after his side opted to bat first, struggled to find his rhythm during his stay at the crease.
The right-handed batter could only muster 36 runs off 37 balls, with a modest total of three boundaries to his name.
His frustrating knock ended in the 14th over, when Islamabad United’s captain, Shadab Khan, bowled him out.

Rizwan’s displeasure was evident as he stormed off the field.
In a moment of visible anger, he threw his helmet against the advertisement board as he crossed the boundary ropes, a gesture that was captured and quickly went viral.
The captain walked off without so much as a glance back at his discarded gear, further showcasing his frustration with the innings.
Despite Rizwan’s struggles, the Sultans posted a total of 168 for five in their allotted 20 overs, thanks largely to a solid 61-run effort from Usman Khan.

However, the home side’s target was comfortably chased down by Islamabad United, who reached 169 on the first ball of the 18th over, with seven wickets in hand and 17 balls to spare.
The defending champions, Islamabad United, continued their flawless run, maintaining a perfect record of five wins from five matches, firmly holding the top spot in the PSL 10 standings.
Meanwhile, Multan Sultans suffered their fourth loss in five matches, leaving them at the bottom of the points table with just two points and a negative net run rate of -1.764.
