Islamabad, Mar 24, 2025: The Pakistan Meteorological Department has forecast a strong westerly weather system set to impact multiple regions from March 25 to March 27.
The system is expected to bring heavy rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall in upper and central parts of the country.

Gilgit-Baltistan & Kashmir
Heavy rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms, with snowfall over mountainous areas, is anticipated in Gilgit-Baltistan, including Diamer, Astore, Ghizer, Skardu, Hunza, and Gilgit.
In Kashmir, areas such as Neelum Valley, Muzaffarabad, Poonch, and Kotli may experience heavy rainfall from March 25 to March 28, with intermittent dry periods.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)
Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and nearby areas will witness rain, thunderstorms, and snowfall over high-altitude regions.
Some areas may experience heavy downpours and hailstorms from March 25 to March 27.

Meanwhile, Waziristan, Kohat, Bannu, and Dera Ismail Khan may see rain and thunderstorms between March 25 and March 26.
Punjab & Islamabad

Cities like Lahore, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Sargodha, and Multan may also experience rain and gusty winds, potentially affecting daily activities.
Balochistan
Rain and strong winds are expected in Quetta, Zhob, Ziarat, and other parts of northern Balochistan between March 25 and March 26.
These conditions may lead to reduced visibility and difficult driving conditions.
Sindh
Dust storms and gusty winds are forecast for northern Sindh, including Sukkur and Jacobabad, between March 25 and March 26.
