Islamabad, Sep 13: Weekly Inflation in Pakistan Increases After Four Consecutive Declines
The Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) reports that for the week ending September 12, 2024, the Sensitive Price Index (SPI)-based inflation climbed by 0.01 percent.
Of the 51 goods, prices grew for 15 (29.41 percent) during the week, decreased for 14 (27.45 percent), and were unchanged for 22 (43.14 percent) of the items.
Some of the items, prices of which, increased during the period under review include tomatoes (6.62 percent), electricity charges for Q1 per unit (4.13 percent), chicken (3.77 percent), pulse gram (2.43 percent), garlic (2.24 percent), beef with bone (1.13 percent), mutton (0.71 percent), milk fresh (0.11 percent), curd (0.10 percent), and rice basmati broken (0.01 percent).
