DOHA – June 23, 2025: Qatar’s Ministry of Defence has confirmed that its air defense systems successfully intercepted a missile aimed at Al-Udeid Air Base, a key U.S. military installation located west of Doha. The missile attack is believed to be part of Iran’s escalating response to tensions involving U.S. forces across the Gulf region.
In an official statement released by the Directorate of Morale Guidance, the Ministry praised the vigilance of its armed forces and confirmed that no casualties or damage occurred as a result of the intercepted missile.
“Thanks to God, the vigilance of the armed forces, and the precautionary measures taken, the incident did not result in any deaths or injuries,” the Ministry said.

The Ministry further reassured citizens and residents that Qatar’s airspace and territory remain secure, and that the Qatar Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to any threat. In a firm tone, Qatar asserted that it reserves the right to respond to acts of aggression.
This comes amid heightened regional tension, as Iran reportedly launched multiple attacks targeting U.S. military positions in the Middle East. Al-Udeid Air Base plays a critical role in U.S. and allied operations, making it a likely target in any regional escalation.
Qatari authorities have advised the public to stay calm, avoid speculation, and rely only on verified official channels for updates.
The situation remains fluid, and regional stakeholders are closely monitoring developments as diplomatic and military pressure builds in the Gulf.
