Islamabad, Aug 6, 2025: Apple rolled out the iOS 26 Beta 5 update for developers today, introducing several minor yet noticeable changes. While most major adjustments have already been made in earlier versions, this build continues polishing the interface.
The iOS 26 Beta 5 focuses on smoother visuals, improved placement of controls, and new interactive elements ahead of its official release in September.
- Camera App: A new switch named Classic Mode has been added to the Camera app. This lets users reverse the scroll direction when switching between different photo and video settings.
- Mail: The Mail app now includes a clearly visible Select button, which was previously hidden under the three-dot options menu, making email management easier.
- AirDrop lcon: Apple has redesigned the AirDrop icon found in the Share Sheet, offering a more modern look.
- Lock Screen: A new animation now appears when typing your passcode, with numbers bouncing into place. Similarly, a different lock animation is visible when music is playing and the device locks.
- Control Center: Swiping between different pages in the Control Center now includes a springy, animated effect. When long-pressing the Wi-Fi icon, you’ll see whether a network is public or private, with password-protected networks marked by a small lock.

- Siri Travel Feature: A new travel-related update to Siri can detect if you’re preparing to go abroad and will provide suggestions related to mobile network settings for roaming.
- Wallet: Inside the Wallet app, the Apple Card Payments option has been renamed to Preauthorized Payments, making the purpose of the feature more transparent.
- Splash Screens: More Apple apps now display updated splash screens to introduce new features when first opened.
- Battery: A new alert pops up through Dynamic Island when the battery drops to 20%, keeping users informed without needing to unlock the phone.
- Dock: The transparent Liquid Glass effect around the Home Screen dock has been widened, enhancing the visual depth.
- Fitness: Fitness+ now sports an updated icon, adding a new look to the app interface.
