Islamabad, June 12, 2025: WhatsApp is all set to introduce a much-needed update that will make managing conversations easier. The upcoming WhatsApp Draft Messages Feature will allow users to quickly access all unsent messages through a dedicated chat list. The new filter will be added in a future version of the app and is currently being tested on WhatsApp beta for Android 2.25.18.17, according to WABetaInfo.
In its current state, WhatsApp users need to manually scroll through long chat lists to find conversations with drafts—messages that were typed but not sent. These drafts are often overlooked, especially by users who juggle multiple conversations. The new feature aims to solve this problem by marking all chats containing drafts with a green tag and grouping them under a separate “Drafts” filter.
This WhatsApp Draft Messages Feature will make it easier for users to locate unfinished messages with a single tap. Once the filter is applied, users will instantly see a list of all chats containing draft texts. This can be especially helpful in busy situations where users start writing a message but get distracted or decide to send it later.
The best part? Users won’t need to configure anything manually. The filter will automatically appear when at least one draft message is detected. And if users no longer want to see the drafts list, they can remove the filter at any time. The flexibility to re-enable it later makes it a user-friendly addition to the app.
