Islamabad, 27 May 2025: WhatsApp Web is preparing to launch a new feature designed to streamline media access across all conversations.
Known as the Chat Media Hub, this enhancement will allow users to browse every image, video, document, and link shared on the platform from a single interface.
Currently in development, WhatsApp Web will integrate this tool in a forthcoming update aimed at simplifying file management and improving user experience.

Notably, WhatsApp Web users will no longer have to search through individual chats to retrieve previously shared media.
Centralized Media Access for All Conversations
The new Chat Media Hub will be introduced as a separate section within the sidebar of the web version, offering a unified view of media from personal, group, and community chats.
Users will be able to scroll through their shared content, complete with details such as the sender’s identity and the date each item was posted.
The interface will support refined search functionality based on captions, alongside filters that sort files by size or chronological order.
To further enhance usability, WhatsApp will enable multi-item selection, allowing for bulk actions like downloading, forwarding, or deleting files.

This addition is expected to help users manage their digital storage more efficiently and locate specific files without hassle.
Although a similar tool was previously tested for Android community chats, this broader rollout to the web client marks a major step toward universal media management within the app.
While WhatsApp has not yet revealed a public release date or beta testing schedule, the update is confirmed to be part of a future version of the platform’s web interface.
