Islamabad, Apr 10, 2025: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has released a comprehensive weather outlook, predicting significant rainfall in various parts of the country, particularly in the northern regions where intense showers are anticipated in the coming days.
As per the official advisory, Islamabad and nearby areas are likely to experience partly cloudy skies, with chances of rainfall and occasional hailstorms at isolated spots.
Residents in the federal capital should be prepared for changing weather patterns throughout the week.
This rainfall forecast extends to several districts in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including Chitral, Dir, Swat, Malakand, Shangla, Kohistan, Battagram, Mansehra, Abbottabad, Buner, and Bajaur.
The weather department has also indicated expected showers in the Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, and Kohat regions.
According to a spokesperson from the PMD, “Weather systems are likely to move across central and northern areas, bringing rainfall to multiple districts.”
Other areas likely to be affected include Haripur, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, and Swabi, along with Kohat, Bannu, Waziristan, and Dera Ismail Khan.
These zones can expect moderate to heavy rain during the forecast period.
Punjab is also in the path of this wet weather pattern. Regions such as Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, and Jhelum are projected to receive heavy rain.

Talagang, Mianwali, Hafizabad, Gujranwala, and Mandi Bahauddin are expected to witness similar weather activity.
The system will continue to influence Sargodha, Gujarat, Sialkot, Narowal, Lahore, Sheikhupura, and Faisalabad, bringing beneficial rainfall for agriculture-dependent communities.
In contrast, most areas of Sindh are expected to remain dry and hot. However, light rain is anticipated in Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Dadu, and Kashmore.
Similarly, the forecast for Balochistan remains mostly dry and warm, with isolated showers expected in districts like Lasbela, Washuk, and Khuzdar.
Weather experts have advised residents in rain-prone locations to remain alert and take necessary precautions, especially in areas vulnerable to flash flooding or drainage blockages.
