A woman was allegedly raped by two men in an apartment at Islamabad’s Centaurus Mall, located within the jurisdiction of the Margalla Police Station.
According to police, the victim, identified as A*, was called to a flat in Tower A of Centaurus Mall by two suspects. When she arrived, the men allegedly assaulted her and recorded a video of the incident.
The woman immediately contacted the police helpline 15 to report the crime. Acting on her call, Duty Officer Assistant Sub-Inspector Khalid and Station House Officer Saleem Raza reached the scene and arrested both suspects.
The accused were later taken to the Margalla Police Station for further investigation, while the victim, who is said to be married, was shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) for a medical examination.
Centaurus Apartments are situated in one of Islamabad’s most prominent and secure areas, near Blue Area and sectors F-7 and F-8. Such an incident taking place in a high-security zone raises a number of serious questions.
